Unadorned

There is something fascinating about the construction of boats... everything on them is essential, no added flair and minimal decoration, but they still happen to look attractive. The symmetry and rounded construction mixed with hard lines, the way that most of the structure moves in the wind. Boats have changed very little over many years, while cars change every week as people are constantly displeased. Boats do what they need to do with a minimal design honed over thousands of years. They have evolved to near perfection and the purity and functionality of their construction is refreshing in an age of adornment.
