Moorlands have their own micro-climate. Weather can go from summers day to thick fog incredibly fast, the feeling of being lost in the moors and at the mercy of this landscape is quite surreal and often dreamlike. You can drive for a long time without seeing another soul, but scars on the landscape always give clues as to man's power over this space.
